Richard Allen Diary - March

Thursday, 17th March 2005

This is the first winter I have ever spent in the UK for 10 years, so I am looking forward to some sun and racing in the US. Swimming has been going really well at Bath, but it has been really difficult doing the long rides and hard outdoor run sets. I have been doing quite a lot of run mileage though, which has been good, and I will make up the distance on the bike in May.

My first race is on April 10th and is a long Duathlon which will really hurt. It is really just prep for the Hawaii World Cup and St Anthony's triathlons which I am really focused on. Just want to get some sun and start racing! I will be basing myself in St Petersburg, Florida, which is where I lived 96-98 and it will be good to catch up with friends, chill out, and of course hammer the races!

Richard has also changed Bike this year to ride a tricked out Cannondale,  We will bring further pics of his stead in the near future.  We also hope to have one on test shortly.  Next month will  be details of his clothing and footwear.
