Richard Allen - Update

Richard was really focusing on London as a major race for the year and was going in to it in great shape. After making the lead pack behind the 3 break away swimmers, he was feeling very strong on the bike. At the half way point on the bike an industrial metal staple punctured the tyre and then on hitting a pothole, the wheel broke. Race over! There is nothing you can do in this situation and it is very frustrating when you are feeling so strong.

Richard is very disappointed, but looks forward to the ITU International in Northern Ireland this Saturday and the huge Chicago triathlon on August the 28th.
