Freeman / Clarke to Lead World Junior Team

After confirming their places at last weekend's Michelob Ultra London Triathlon, European Junior medallists Olly Freeman and Rosie Clarke have been named in a 6-strong team for the World Junior Championships, to be held in Gamagori, Japan, on September 10-11.
Freeman last year's World silver medallist - will be joined by youngsters Alistair Brownlee and Devon King, both just 17 racing in the 19-and-under division. Clarke will be joined by Natalie Barnard and Vicky Holland, with Holland bolstered by victory in the German Junior Championships yesterday.
Loughborough University's Holland was part of a small British Junior Team taken to Germany for experience, including Sam Hugh, Aled Thomas, and Leanne Renshaw. Elsewhere, further members of the successful World Class Start Programme contested the Belgian Youth series, with wins for Vicky Graves, Lucy Nell, and Jonathan Brownlee, a silver medal for Robert Bowles, and a bronze for Yasmin Smith.
Rosie Clarke's brother, Will, has been named to the U23 Team for the World Championships, along with Fraser Cartmell, after both finished in the top 10 of the Elite wave in London. In the females, Helen Tucker has confirmed that she will race in the senior Team in Japan, relinquishing her spot in the U23s.
