New Zealand Names Team for Melbourne

New Zealand has confirmed its team for the Commonwealth Games Triathlon in Melbourne, Australia, which takes place on the 18 March 2006. The men's team is Olympic champion Hamish Carter, former world champion Bevan Docherty and Kris Gemmell. The women's team is Samantha Warriner, Andrea Hewitt and Debbie Tanner.
Great Britain's athletes will compete for the Home Nation's as follows:
- England - Tim Don, Stuart Hayes, Will Clarke, Andrea Whitcombe, Liz Blatchford and Julie Dibens.
- Wales - Leanda Cave, Helen Tucker, Anneliese Heard, and Marc Jenkins.
- Scotland - Kerry Lang, Catriona Morrison.
The host nation, Australia, has named World Champion, Emma Snowsill, Olympic Silver medallist, Loretta Harrop and World Championship silver medallist Annabel Luxford in their women's team. The men's team consists of triple World Champion, Peter Robertson, Athens fourth placer, Greg Bennett and World Championship Bronze medallist, Brad Kahlefeldt.
