Trigger Point to be Official Personal Performance Therapy Tools of Ironman North America
Friday, 27th January 2006
Ironman North America and Trigger Point Technologies have announced that Trigger Point will serve as a sponsor for all eight Ironman North America events in 2006.
Trigger Point Technologies will serve as the Official Personal Performance Therapy Tools of the eight Ironman North America events in 2006 and will continue to feature its products, therapy tools and education at the Ironman Village at each event.
"It is our mission to provide the most practical style of therapy to be understood by anyone in need of a lifestyle change, performance enhancement, or general wellness" said Cassidy Phillips, Founder of Trigger Point Technologies. "We look at Ironman as a Lifestyle rather than just a race. Keeping the Body, Mind and Spirit healthy keeps the Ironman Lifestyle alive in all aspects of life."
"Trigger Point has been a great fit with our Ironman Villages in the past," said Ironman North America President Graham Fraser. "As a triathlete, the products have been of great benefit to me personally, and I think they are a great fit for any triathlete."
Trigger Point tools consist of the TP Massage Ball, Footballer, Quadballer, Baller Block, an educational DVD, and a Virtual Therapist on the website. The uniqueness of these tools is that they mirror the feeling of an actual hand allowing athletes to manipulate the muscles on their own at home on a regular basis.
In 2005 there wasn't an Ironman race in North America that didn't have a male or female overall winner using our products and methodology," added Phillips. "Partnering with IMNA events is something I've wanted to do for years. It is my objective to get more athletes across the finish line pain free and happy. For years weve educated athletes to understand how their biomechanics work for and against them. Now with the support of IMNA we are going to keep pushing the educational envelope so that athletes can understand how, when and where to deal with the biomechanical problems that lead to Plantar Fasciitis, IT Band Syndrome, Lower back pain, poor aerodynamics, and general Ironman discomfort."
