British Triathlon to Establish Triathlon England

Executive Board of the British Triathlon Association has written to the English Regional Committees to offer assurance on the timetable for establishing Triathlon England and the continuation of membership benefits during the period between the AGM and the formation of Triathlon England.

The letter  indicates that the Executive Board have set a firm deadline for completion of the transfer of roles and responsibilities from British Triathlon to Triathlon England by the 1st April 2007, which is the start of the new membership year.

The letter also states "We would like to assure existing members of British Triathlon and future members of Triathlon England that full membership benefits will continue during the period between the AGM and completion of the transfer of memberships on 1st April 2007. This applies to all benefits including insurance and legal cover. Members will also continue to receive copies of Tri News, the Annual Handbook and Rule Book during this transitional period. Triathlon England memberships will be available from 1st January 2007 with members receiving a cover letter informing them of the transitional arrangements."
