Julie Dibens wins Lanzarote Duathlon

With a total of 113 participants (95 men, 18 women), the Lanzarote Duathlon held at the Stadium of Club La Santa saw a British victory in the form of Julie Dibens. The field of professional and age group athletes undertook the three stage race which featured a 5km run, 20k bike and a 2.5km run.

Dibens took the women's honours with an impressive final run to overtake Yvonne Van Viekken of the Netherlands to win in a time of 1:04.51. Mieke Depoortere of Belgium was third with Britain's Leanna Hyams and Lee Avery in fifth and seventh respectively.

The men's race was dominated by a trio of Belgians who all dipped under the hour barrier. First Brit home was Harry Wiltshire in eighth, just ahead of Mark Whittaker.
