British Triathlon Help IOC Commission Visualise 2012 Triathlon

Friday, 18th February 2005
When the members of the IOC Evaluation Commission visited Hyde Park yesterday afternoon, Great Britain's aspiring elite athletes were on hand to help them visualise how the triathlon venue will look for a London 2012 Olympics. IOC Evaluation Commission members visited Hyde Park and stopped at the Serpentine for a presentation. At their arrival point London 2012 and British Triathlon had created a transition zone. As the IOC Commission members dismounted their coach some fifteen elite triathletes cycled into transition and exited on a run around the Serpentine. This was followed by a short presentation on the planned course, which takes in some of London's most historic sites. British Triathlon was represented at the presentation by Chair, Jasmine Flatters, Performance Director, Graeme Maw, and former Olympic Triathlete and London 2012 Ambassador, Sian Brice. British Triathlon is supporting the London 2012 bid.
