Cave Opens her '05 Account at the Ralphs California Half Ironman

Finishing 8th in the Ralphs California Half Ironman, Leanda Cave yesterday confirmed her recovery from the injuries which spectacularly ended her season last year when crashing during the ITU Cancun World Cup. Cave had previously only stepped out during the low-key Bribie Island Triathlon near her parents home in Queensland, but powering to the front in the 1.2 mile Oceanside swim and holding this through the first 30 miles of the 56 mile bike leg, she ran comfortably through the 13.1 mile run against more seasoned long-course opponents.
