Brits Take Bronze in Barcis

Great Britain's Annie Emmerson and Mark McKay have taken bronze medals at the ITU World Long Distance Duathlon Championships. Emmerson finished behind winner Erika Csomor (Bel) and runner up Ulrike Schwalbe (Ger). Csomor won the race in 4:14:33 from Schwalbe 4:14:40 with Emmerson finishing in 4:16:40. Sara Gross (Gbr) 13th and Michelle Parsons (Gbr) 14th finished close together in 4:36:09 and 4:36:26 respectively. McKay finished third behind Benny van Steelant (Bel) and Marcel Zamora (Esp). Van Steelant was well away from the others finishing in 3:40:59 followed by Zamora in 3:44:46 with McKay in 3:44:49. Of the British elite men, Phil Mosely finished 19th in 3:57:33, Martin Yelling 25th in 4:00:03, David Benton 27th in 4:02:17, and David Brown 29th in 4:02:43.
