Gross Leads British Charge in Sater

Sara Gross led a dominant performance from Great Britain's elite team at the European Long Distance Championships in Sater, Sweden, yesterday, taking Gold for her first European title. Gross won in 6:40:40 hrs from team mate Bella Comerford (6:43:33 hrs), with Louisa Edmonston just missing a clean sweep for GBR, finishing in 4th place. Abigail Bayley and Rachel Horn finished 6th and 10th respectively, to place all the women in the top 10. Stephen Bayliss ensured the men didn't miss out with a bronze medal in 5:53:00 hrs, behind Belgian winner Gerrit Schellens (5:48:49 hrs). Russel Kober finished 10th, with Nick Saunders 19th and Paul Mountford 21st.
