Loretta Harrop Pregnant

Olympic silver medallist Loretta Harrop announced at a press conference in Brisbane, Australia on Monday that she has withdrawn from the 2006 Commonwealth Games as she and her husband Brad are expecting their first child in August. This means that Harrop will miss most of the 2006 season but plans to be back in time in order to qualify and compete in her third Olympic games in Beijing 2008. The Triathlon Australia selectors will meet after this weekends ITU SMF Hobart Oceania Cup to select a replacement for the 2006 Commonwealth Games team.
