British Triathlon Bids for 2010 World Championships in Salford

British Triathlon has submitted a formal bid to the ITU to host the ITU World Triathlon Championships in Salford in 2010. Following the hosting of a highly successful Commonwealth Games in 2002, the Salford LOC has fine tuned their ability to organise world class events through the ITU World Cup races, which have been held there in 2003, 2004, and 2005. The Salford event is recognised by international triathletes as one of the best organised races in the ITU World Cup series. Full story:-
