Dibens Wins Lanzarote Volcano Triathlon

Julie Dibens won the 22nd International Volcano Triathlon held in Lanzarote yesterday. Julie was the first woman but also the second triathlete to exit the water 18 seconds behind the men's leader Christian Martin Guerrero. As expected Julie Dibens maintained her lead on the bike chased by Tiina Boman (Finland) and Karin Thürig (Switzerland). Dibens completed the run to finish in first place in 02:12:55 (15th place overall) with Boman and Thürig finishing second and third respectively. British age group triathletes Debbie Cooper, Debbie Shaw, and Ruth Leishman all finished in the top ten of the women's race.
