Podium Spots for Scots Pair in Indonesian Triathlon

Scots triathletes Alice Hector and Fraser Cartmell both capitlised on an invitation to race in the small pro field in Bintan, picking up more prize money in one afternoon than they both had done in the whole of last year. Alice exited the swim less than 30 seconds down then took advantage of the hard, hilly, non drafting course to gain almost a minute going onto the run, with the fastest run split of the day, she was never challenged for the top spot. The men's race was dominated by Courtney Atkinson (Aus) who led from start to finish, in 2nd and 3rd, Fraser had a real battle with Bryce Quirk (Aus), only losing out on the final 5k to still make the podium in 3rd.
