4th Place for Whitcombe in Edmonton World Cup Race

Andrea Whitcombe continued her impressive year with fourth place in the Canadian leg of the World Cup series in Edmonton. In a race dominated by Australia's Emma Snowsill, Whitcombe was always in medal contention along with eventual podium finishers, Emma Moffatt (AUS) and Samantha Warriner (NZL). Finishing just 12 seconds off bronze and 24 off silver is very encouraging, however this is the second time Whitcombe has found herself agonisingly close to the top three after her fourth place finish in the European Championships two weeks ago in France. The only other British competitor in Canada was Leanda Cave who took 14th position.
