Don Beaten on French Return

Tim Don could only manage seventh place on his triathlon return following victory at the World Championships a fortnight before. Racing at the French Grand Prix in La Baule, Don's team mate, Stephane Poulat took victory for Beauvais Tri ahead of Australia's Brad Kahlefeldt (Racing Club de France) and Germany's Jan Frodeno (EC Sartrouville). Don (Beauvais) finished in seventh with Harry Wiltshire (Montpellier Agglo), World Student Champion, in eighth, just two seconds behind. Fraser Cartmell (Mulhouse Olympique) was 15th. Don will now fly out to Beijing to link up with the British Triathlon training camp before competing in the ITU Beijing World Cup race next Saturday.
