Bayliss and Comerford for Top Honours Again

It's a deserved clean sweep for Britains Ironcouple, Bella Comerford and Stephen Bayliss, who have both been awarded by the British Triathlon Association as the Long Distance Triathletes of the Year for 2006. The announcement follows an excellent season for both athletes. Comerford (www.bellacomerford.com) has recently culminated a string of excellent performances by taking the crown at this weekend's Ironman Florida race. Her season has also seen her win the Home De Ferro Long Course triathlon in Ibiza and the Lorient Grand Prix in France, as well as fantastic performances at Ironman Brazil and Ironman New Zealand. Bayliss (www.stephenbayliss.net), also won at Home De Ferro, and narrowly missed the podium at Ironman Florida, finishing 4th. This complements his 4th place finishes at Ironman Brazil and Ironman New Zealand.
